I bought a reticulated stingray about a week and a half ago in the tank in the store they looked very healthy and seemed to be taken care of very well. My water parameters are right and i am doing bi weekly water changes. My problem is that i cant get him to eat i have tried to feed him earth worms as well as blood worms and black worms he seemed to chew on the blood worms a little but then would swim off and leave them alone, but now he just keeps swimming around against the flow of the filter and against the glass and doesn't stop long enough to eat. Does anyone have any ideas whats wrong? Please help.

i have this same problem with every ray i buy, it just takes time for them to get used to the new tank they are in. try to cut the earthworms up into bite size peices. and after awhile they will gorge them selfs.

What exactly are your water parameters, do a full test and post them up as without all info everyones guessing.

+1. Your test kit may be expired. Biweekly water changes may need to be upped. Especialy if u have rays now and even more so if you aren't pulling the uneaten food. How is your filtration? Did you beef it up before purchasing your new rays?

If all shows well, then the "go to" food is always blackworms, ghost shrimp, or live feeder fish.

Good luck!
