Hi all,

My motoro has a wound under his tail by his claspers. I'm abit concerned what to do and what has caused it? It looks almost infected and like a burn. The image isn't great so will try get better one.

But there is no heaters in tank so cant be that :\ and he is still feeding well and very active so no changes in behaviour.

And I go away for a week next week so awful timing. Please tell me what to do.

Is there anything in the tank he could have scratched himself on? I've found if you keep the water clean, maybe add a bit of salt rays heal from cuts and scrapes very quickly. I had a motoro manage to cut his belly pretty badly on a piece of wood, took a chuck of flesh out and everything. He never stopped eating and just kept going about his day.

Thanks,

Yes maybe a piece of bogwood against the side that maybe he fell down on after swimming up glass.

Have already removed. Will do extra water changes, thanks

Kinda hard to tell what it is in the pic. Only concern I have is that it could be some sort of blockage since its down in that area. Otherwise if ta just a scratch or wound I would do nothing but clean water and maybe a little salt. Lost a of people go overboard with meds and such. Which a lot of time does more bad than good
