what ray would you recomened for a beginer to rays in gearal. i plan to grow the ray ot in a 75g tank yes i know this is small i will upgrade to a pond when need then to a show tank. he be the only fish most likely. i plan on having a sump with 7gallongs scrubbies. wha skimmerwould you recomend. also is this a good sand to use? Aragamax Sand

This super-fine sand (0.2 to 1.22 mm grain size) is ideal for shallow static beds and bottom covering of up to 1" in depth. Also known as "oolitic" sand, this sugar-sized sand naturally aids in the reduction of nitrates. Its fine round grains pass easily through the gills of gobies and other sand-sifting organisms. The smooth, round grains are gentle on soft-bellied sharks and rays. Pure and safe – metal, ash, and silica free. White in color. 30 pounds. thanks in advance

id wait till you can afford a larger tank....

ok well i mean i setting this up i probly won't do a ray then just because i want to get my tank setyp with preds i probly do a grouper then

If you are going to set up a tank that needs temp control, I'd suggest a good thermostat controlled heater that you can fully submerge in your sump. Don't go cheap, b/c the low end heaters can fail and kill off your entire tank in a matter of hours.

As for the stingray: yellow rays, round rays and cortez rays are favored for size. But as suggested, I'd start them in the final tank, or at least have the 'final tank' up and running prior to buying one for your grow out tank.
