Rays and bichirs

Mixed from what I’ve seen. Seen it done and no issues. Seen others where the polys end up buying the tails and trying to death roll it.

I wouldn't recommend keeping them together.
Bichirs can easily be suffocated by being covered by a large stingray's disk. Bichirs also are likely to nip at the stingray's disk which would be quite stressful for the ray.
In other cases this can happen:

The sad part is that the Bichir probably didn't recover from getting tagged by the Stingray. I missed the end of the video.

What’s everyone’s experiences keeping rays and bichirs together? Good or bad?
I do keep a marbled motoro with 2 upper jaw bichirs, ornate and delhezi. Ornate very rarely nips at the ray thinking it’s food, the delhezi never once bothered the ray. IMO if you were to keep rays with bichirs, upper jaws I find are the most suitable as they do not grow as big as lower jaw bichirs, hence less likely to cause any significant damage
