I know that some of you keep rays with discus but is it really safe to do so? I know it looks so cool together!

people have done it never heard of anything bad coming out of it

Yes they look fantastic together i have done it for about 4 months now the only problem u might run into is breeding and that will only be a couple of nips. Not to scare u but once or twice ppl have had there ray grab a discus and sufficate it but thats a big ray and small discus

Great combo i have some P14 with some amazing discus at my store and I love the tank, Thinking about doing it with my 600 gallon like 1000 discus and 5 rays would look crazy.

Ya i have not done it (not enogh money) but i think black rays and discus would look amazing

the discus will be history when the rays get big enought seen it many times

if you look at the front page on franks web site them discus lasted less than a week all eatern :D

try it if you want but it will cost you money

thats what i was thinking expensive meal. i know of rays that have eaten adult geophagus. i keep some flying foxes to control algae but they don't last forever.

It really depends on the type of rays. I kept discus with histrix rays for about 8 years and did not have a single incident. However, I did not date keep them with my motoros. They would not have lasted a week.
