How well do they co-hab?

I'm looking to add a lil life to my salt tank. Current inhabitans are a 8 in Stonefish and a 2.75' Dragon Moray.

Thinking possibly a round ray?

Have plenty of experience with FW ones, but zero experience with salt ones.... Curious too about the impact a ray or 2 will have on the WC schedule.... Don't dig the cost of salt at all. :irked:

Thanks in advance for any advice.... :)

if your tanks big enough and your dragon moray isnt massive that it will attack the rays for getting in its space you should be ok... what kind of dragon is it ? and how much do they run for in your area ive been looking for a dragon moray for the longest time and i got quoted 4 grand from big als to bring one in for me !!!

Depends largely on tank size and ray size. They can cohabitate, but they need the space, and the eel needs to be well fed.

In CA, dragon morays are ~$1K US.

I know of a guy in Hawaii that you can get one (Dragon) from: wetpetshi.@yahoo.com

$1000? I couldn't sell mine for $600. Only still have him cause I couldn't find someone serious about buying it.

My Hawaii Dragon is roughly 30-32 inches. Really only seems aggressive at feeding time. Him and the stonie have never had any issues.

The tank will be a 8x2x2. Most of the rock would be in a sump system composed of a 90 and a few 55s.

So you guys think this will work? Can anyone recommend a source for cheap salt rays? Want to start out cheap till I know "Mr Nibbles" is gonna play nice.

divers den on live aquaria has one currently priced at $800....nice size 21 inches

www.fishsupply.com has rays at a pretty nice prices....the cheapest I think is the cortez ray at $38 but it's like 3 inches....
