Rays (BDs) with Red Quartz Sand

Anyone keep their rays with those red quartz sand used for birchirs?
I'm wondering if its good for BD coloration.

I am trying to find a good gravel that can bring out the colors of both BDs and Endlicheris.

Garnet sandblasting sand could work as there are no sharp edges. I would like to see the combo

my friend recently noticed how nice black rays look in red containers so i curious to see how red sand would look?

If want ur bd to look amazing put him on black bottom and 10k light.

i dont think sand or light has a impact on rays colour

good water food and good filtration is the best for rays

best to not order sand online unless someone can recomend it just go and feel it yourself to see if its shap or get a few samples sent out before you buy loads

i tried a Orange color sand back before i had any black rays... HATED IT.. but maybe with blacks it would look good. Hmmm

Anyway this was made by 3m. i think estes makes it this was called (tan) s grade. i got the idea from one of r1_ridah's tank back in the day.

Natural colours work best in the end the coloured stuff is a impulse buy and most people normally get bored of it in the end
Black sand is also way to dark

It's not pure red sand, but close. I was thinking of going with the black tahitian moon sand for the tank upgrade I'm working on...you guys think no? I was also thinking white sand but I thought it might bleach out the rays color. Thoughts?
