I've kept a rtc x tsn with my retic for a while till I sold both. They did excellent together for the time I had them.
I've seen tigirinus with rays before also

What you want to worry about is max size. Will the cat be small enough for the ray to eat or will the ray be small enough for teh cat to inhale long term. I personally wouldnt put a RTC with a ray unless teh ray was huge. RTC try to eat everything ive evn housed them with and rays are floppy pancakes and can be rolled up and swallowed.

I have had good results with a Niger cat but as strollo said, they get huge. The niger was at fisrt too small to hodl his own and its tail was getting nipped when a ray would engulf it and taste em. The only problem id see with vulture cats or other fast active cats is that rays are relatively slower eaters and your have to over feed to amke sure teh rays are getting their share. When I had a marbled achara cat which isant as active as a vulture he would devour all the food in seconds where the rays take a minute or two to find everything. Just my 2 cents. Rays eat relatively slow and cats eat relatively fast.
