I bought him and his disc edge and claspers was a little chewed up from being with other large rays but he was fine still and ate great so I went through with the deal thinking he’d only be with a pup so his disc should heal up nice and now it’s turned a foggy white color and almost losing its pattern around the edge of the disc and now he won’t eat at all for the past few days. Any help would be great. Also I do regular water changes every few days but when I got him he did create a mini cycle in my tank do to his huge bio load, not sure if that has anything to do with it but wanted to add just Incase. My marble pup is still with him and eating amazing still and shows no signs of any stress.

Did he ever eat in the new aquarium? Could still be adjusting.

I'm not sure how badly it was chewed up, but when a Rays disk is bitten, it will not get its pattern back so that looks normal to me. The regrown not disk on Brown Rays like that end up looking a grey like colour without the pattern and black Rays heal back black, but without white spots.

I had a marble that got tore up by others and once it healed it had almost an inch wide grey band the whole way around its disk from where had healed back.

In relation to the spike, that and the fact he's a big Ray and been moved and stressed may well be the cause of his off behaviour.
