Ray's Jumping?

Hi there I've purchased this pond to house my motoro in for a few month til I can afford the tank upgrade the pond is 6'L x 4'W x 2'H;

I was wondering what are the chances of my ray jumping from this pond? Will I have to cover it with netting or anything?

If your housing in doors I would consider partially cover anyways due to humidity reasons. But with the way rays like to play up the sides of aquariums I would play it safe and get at least netting to cover it, Its cheap and easy to do.

X2 better safe than sorry
 
make a wooden frame to go around the edge of the tub so it looks like the stress bars on a normal tank
rays dont jump they climb over the sides so no need to cover the middle once rays lift the front lip to get over the stress bar they lose the suction and drop to the ground
 
i had a 5" leo jump out of my tank that i kept open...thank god my girlfriend wasnt sleeping and heard it flapping around on the floor.
 
wow thats crazy. My pond is open and i leave the water a few inches below the top
 
Cover it. My local shop had a ray in a open top tank, and it took a dive out the tank one day. So better safe than sorry. Doesnt take much to cover one, so its better to be on the safe side.
Ive never had my rays jump out, but I also never keep an open top tank on any of my adult rays.
