Rays Mated Last night, Few Questions!!

Hi,

So my rays mated last night for the first time, and I was lucky to see it. Very exciting and shokcing to watch at the same time.

I have a few questions now, which I hope the pros can chime in and answer.
- Now I Currentl feed the Rays once a day sometimes twice - a range of pellets and they love it.
IS once a day feeding still enough or should it at least be twice a day now?

- My male seams to be following her every now and again, he is a lot smaller than her, he didn't even leave any bite marks other than chewing on her "feet"
Do you think he will continue to try and breed with her? Or do they generally leave them alone until they give birth?
- If so I guess i should separate them?

- Any other tips you guys can give me? This is her first time btw, if that changes anything.

they should be fine.... if he keeps bugging her then move him.... but you have about 3 months to sit and wait :)
 
its gonna be a very long 3 months lol

the prego female will need more and more food until she gives birth. i would deff feed her at least 2 times per day.
 
hey Trev looking into some leo's if it were you would you get pups or some larger leo's that are ready to breed. it seems like there are larger males every now and then. and now may be 10" or so from MN stingray but price is questionably high IMO. it seems like all larger rays have gone up though so who knows. what would you do eventually i plan on going all black rays. IMO marble motoros are good pets but poor for breeding. what would you do?

Hey guys just an update. and had a question too, Any insight would be great!

some info:
So my female is about 82-83 days in now.
Shes been separated for about 80 days.
She is eating alot.
She seams Big, but not so huge that shes going to explode.
I saw the rays mate, so it definitely happened.
This is the first time both these fish have mated.

I didn't actually put my question up there.

So I am not actually seeing movement. but she is big... what are your thoughts based on the info above.

ill post pics in the next few days.
