So have a 150 gal 6'x30" x18" tank that I plan on using for hystrix. I would also like to set the tank up as planted with some decent sized driftwood. I would like to keep bannana lilies, dwarf lilies, and duckweed. I chose these because the lightning on the tank is a 200w 4' t5 . now the duckweed is going ballistic which is fine with me because I can thin it out. I have some juvenile bananna plants and dwarf lilies but they started growing quickly and then pretty much stopped and act like they are dying. I use liquid ferts once every other week or so and I know I have more than enough light. I'm thinking I'm missing co2. Is a co2 sysem a good idea with hystrix?

Any plants you try to establish in a substrate will be destroyed. If you do plants I would do plants that grow and establish themselves to wood and rockwork.
I dont know anything about CO2 so cant help on that end or with the ferts. I just eun mine in plain water.
