My male marble had his tail bitten by my arowana about 2 weeks ago.

I've since got rid of arowana and at the time Rays tail looked fine other than few thin tears in flesh, but it's getting progressively worse.

It looks like the cartilage has been snapped but flesh still intact as it's now permanently badly bent.

I'm aware that tails don't regrow or repair so if I leave it will it just drop off or Could it deteriorate so should I chop the affected part off?

Any comments appreciated.20160206_213410_HDR.jpg 20160206_213416_HDR.jpg 20160206_213410_HDR.jpg 20160206_213416_HDR.jpg 20160206_213410_HDR.jpg 20160206_213416_HDR.jpg 20160206_213410_HDR.jpg 20160206_213416_HDR.jpg

It will come to no harm, the damaged area will just fall off in time, lucky for you the tail still appears to end in a point, aesthetically it won't spoil the look of the ray at all.

Great thank you! Have put my mind at ease, didn't really fancy taking the scissors to him tbh!
