rays with other fish

hey my wife said i can get a ray but i dont want to get rid of the fish i already have

i have
3x peacock bass
2x sailfin gibbies pleco
3x geos
1x oscar
2x clown loach

and i also want a arowana
the tank will be a 8x3x2.5
as you know there very costly over here so i dont want the ray to die

Pbass can be done but they are huge eaters and are hard on the bio filtration. You will have to have massive filtration and do lots of water changes. The plecos are a big gamble. One day they are okay and the next they start sucking on your rays. The geos are okay, the oscar is the same as the pbass, and the clown loaches will stress your ray out at night unless the ray is big enough to eat them.
 
few good pieces of driftwood should keep the pleco happy and oscar is a ?? but there is only one way to find out....

Costly is right from what I seen. 1500-2000 for a Motoro. Ouch
All you can do is try and experiment, the only problem is you either
need another tank setup or a divider ready and handy just in case.
