Rays with Trigrinus and other Tankmates?

Ok, I'm thinking ahead here, but i'm trying to plan what tankmates to keep with a ray.

I am looking at Hystrix, Scobina and Retic rays.

I'd love a Tigrinus catfish (which i thought was the same thing as a tiger shovel nose?) but I'm hearing mixed reports about keeping these with rays. Some say they keep them and cant fault them, some say the opposite...

Tankmates i'm considering (not all!):

Tigrinus
Frontosa
Arowana
Severum
Geophagus
Clown Loach

Finally, would I be best adding the ray to the tank first, last or somewhere in the middle?

Argh - how can i edit a title - it's to say Tigrinus!

tigrinus and ray should be fine just make sure the tig is big enough not to get covered by the ray

I had a tigrinus with a retic for a couple of years with no problem whatsoever.I have hesitations about the Frontosa though.But first,what size tank?

OK, i think i manged to clarify the difference between TSN and Tigrinus - Tigrinus is actually 'Zebra Shovelnose'

Anyone know where I would find one in the UK?

No tank yet - planning ahead.

possibly 5x2x2 for now - then upgrading in future

you are welcome, what iam thinking for tankmates are asain arowana , tig, fire eel, Severum, Datnioid,maybe some geos or discus and a lima catfish.
