gars and rays are fine together..... no plecos though... bare minimum for a motoro would be a 180 with larger tank needed in a few years... avoid buying those teacup rays(retics) they are cheaper but not as hardy... btw where in pa are you

Bottom of tank covered with rocks?

if rocks are river rocks and smooth you can keep rays on it.... I prefer barebottom for small rays that are eating live worms...
