so in another post, i said how my razorback turtle wouldnt eat, but now he eatse GREAT. i just put food in the other side of the tank and all the other turtles go there and the razorback sits there and i feed him while hes by himself. this is what i feed my turtles:

the "goumet" turtle food has larger pellets, but i think they have more fun trying to eat those cuz its a challenge. except i takeot a ll the little red cranberry thingsy. and i think the shrimp helps give them somewhat of a carnivorous diet.

Are you the guy who has like 30 Turtles in a 30g? If so, no wonder it wasn't eating.

If not, I apologize for being the resident a-hole.

yeah... that would be me. EXCEPT, there are now 6 turtles in a 30 gal and 5 turtles in a 30 gal. i divided them up, and just for the record, there were only 11 to begin with....:irked:

That's really not all that better. Keeping all those Turtles together is just irresposible. You can keep one small Musk/Mud Turtle in a 30g. Not 11 random Turtle species! :irked: If you like Turtles so much, use your money and tanks to create an amazingly large setup for ONE OR TWO appropriately sized Turtles...

They are fine if they are small. Obviously if they are adults they wouldn't be.

Nice job getting him to feed!

they are all very small. 1 1/2 inch is the biggest. except for my river cooter who is 2 inches

I know baby turtles are cute and all but most grow up very fast. A 30 gallon is about the minimal size I'd ever keep 1 musk turtle in. Heck I keep my pair of musks in a 100 gallon tank.
