I currently have 3 4" RBP's in a 100 gallon tank. I am in the process of adding more and i don't want to lose any of the new ones or old ones. Would 10-12 1.5" RBP's coexist and live with my near-adult P's? Should I add bigger ones?

so you wanna add 10-12 on top of your 3?... :grinno:

i wouldn't recommend it.. unless your planning to buy a 300+ US gallon tank.

you said you don't want to lose any but you're pretty much heading down that alley... by the time they reach 5" expect some casualties due to territorial aggression. not to mention the bio load you'll be getting from 15 reds.. you'd need to over filter your tank by 3x.

6 rbp at the most is a good number for a 100g.. but i'd still say thats pushing it. at least 120g for 6.

but over all its your choice, i'm not stopping you, just giving you a heads up.

Yep you would need some very capeable filteration system on a tank with that many in. Just get another 3 or so.

i have 14rbp in my 100gal, looks pretty crowded but my water is crystal clear. but my filter is pretty heavy on the tank. i originally had 9, but added 5 more but they were only off by an inch or so bigger/smaller so they've all been fine since i put them all together. i don't feed live or messy food tho, so i never have issues with water quality

has anybody mixed an elong with some rbp's?
