i heard somewhere people feed there piranhas fruits and veggies. and today i dropped two grapes in there and they went for it faster then they eat their pellets. if its bad for them ill wont put anymore grapes in the tank.

i wouldnt think that grapes would be bad for them, i know that piranhas eat plenty of fruits that fall into the water in the wild, i'll see if i can find out anything more tho

In the wild, piranhas will eat the occasional piece of fruit, mostly berries that drop from trees. It is not good to make that a large part of their diet though, as in the wild they don't get these very often and are carnivores after all.

thx guys, i was kind of scared that they might get sick from eating the grapes. it was pretty cool watching them eat it tho.

haha, piranhas will eat just about anything, as said above tho, make sure any fruits or veggies are just a once in a while thing, not a staple food

pacu would love grapes and veggies.

I noticed you are from LA. You do realize piranhas are illeagal in california. Your "RBPs" are likely Pacu.
