somewhere close to you...
I was wondering if anyone knew or has tried to house RBP's and Snakeheads in the same tank? I have 7 RBP's and one Flowerhorn in my tank currently...the flowerhorn seems to handle himself okay with my monster's but I saw this really nice snakehead at my LFS and was wondering if this combo would work?

I really don't think this will work those are 2 aggressive fish with very sharp teeth I'm not going to say 100% that it won't work but 96.25% that it won't work sounds right to me..........jmo

I'd pick up the snakehead though but get a seperate tank. Your flowerhorn isn't suffering from nipped fins?

I wouldn't risk it! Someones gonna get chewed up! Your flowerhorn is doing good now but don't be surprised when he's just a head floating in there!

At ballin: Yeah it gets nipped here and there but it always fights back...the last time it got nipped they got his lip, but he seems to be okay...

either way I liked the snakehead at the lfs and thought it might work...I just wanted to double check before I spent $50 on one...

Yeah, flowerhorns are the type of fish that "bully" by pushing other fish around or lip locking....when your Ps get a lil bigger and they lock lips, bye bye flowerhorn mouth. The worse part is it'll survive and just be messed up looking until they decide to off it.

i wouldnt, if the snakehead is small the piranhas would probably think its a big worm. if the snakehead is big where would be WAR too.
you will get away with cichlids as they are well able to stick up for themselfs with not too much bloodshed

I fed my p's turkey for the first time today and one of my convict cichlids decided to eat some. The 8 inch piranha shows up to eat it instead and the stupid 2 inch fish nips at the bigs fish side and manages to convince the piranha to go find lunch somewhere else.

Wtf moment.

Where is your LFS, i would drop 50 on one in a second if i found one.
