hey, wondering if anyone knew when RBP breeding season was in the wild. my lfs hasn't had any RBP for more than a month.

rainy season....spring. alot of red belly piranhas are captive breed though if that's what you're refering to

I think breeding season varies depends on location, I know Peru has baby rbps now, probably anywhere from 1-3".
but like ballin said most rbp you see from lfs are captive breed ones, and they pretty much breed whenever you do a cold water change or there's a big storm or something.

yeah, i've read and heard on documentaries that it's literally just anytime there's a dry season and then fresh water comes along. could technically be any time of year.
