Did you watch tv series River Monsters 5th season first episode - Face Ripper (1 hour 20 mins)?
If you are a piranha enthusiast, you must watch it.

It tells RBP killed a man by ripping off his face,
RBP killed a fully grown horse in matter of few minutes.
And some other RBP attacks.

It also shows pack frenzy feeding of black piranha.

Recently I saw a fish tank where many pygos and serras living together in a same tank peacefully.

I don't have the tank space to even try to pull that off.

Talking 800+ gallons IMO with hella dw and plants for separate territories and even then aggression may happen.

That will never happen for me. I'd be happy with one. Not willing to make that kind of investment for certain death of many expensive fish

I don't think 800gallons would cut it.

Hence the added "+"

A 180gal is a 6'x2' tank so on a 800gal if the footprint is ideal say apprx 10'x5'x30"T it can be possible especially since the growth rate of rhoms or serras is very slow I can see this type of setup working for years given (like I said in my 1st post) a properly setup Amazon theme, lots of dw, plants, dithers, current and buy them as babies!

But no matter how big or small the tank is there is ALWAYS risk of death. Never know till you try but anyone trying IMO would need a minimum of 800gals and much knowledge/experience with piranhas

BTW footprint above is a tad over 900gals.
