so i have 3 rbp's they're just babies. right now there in a 30 gallon tank and just over an inch long, maybe 1" 1/4 long. i've been trying to find cheap tanks for sale hoping to get lucky for when i move them into a bigger tank.
i was curious, at what size do you think i should move them and how big of a tank?? maybe a 70 gallon once theyre 2-3 inches?? any recommendations/opinions?

You could keep them in a 70 till there about 6'' I had mine at one point in a 55 when they were 10'' due to waiting for my 1000 gallon pond to be built.

i would say that you could keep them in there til they hit about 3 inches or so, then i would get them into a larger tank... you have a month or two til they hit that size. if you are getting a larger tank, i wouldn't do anything smaller than a 75 gallon since there's no point in spending the money on a tank that will only serve as another temporary solution.

I'd just keep looking until you find a deal you can't pass up and then move them into that tank. If you find a good deal on the 70, you'd be set for a long time. They slow down drasticly in growth after the first year.
