i have 1 2" rbp in a 29 gal.(for now). he is very shy and hides in the corner all the time even though there are plenty of plants. the lights are low and i will soon move him into the living room hoping he will get used to seeing people more often. are there any other fish i could possibly put in with him now or maybe when i get a larger tank?maybe a pacu or silver dollars? pirahna are very hard to get where i live(have to drive to another state!) or i would get more and i dont want anything that could possibly eat or kill my prized fish!
please help, any suggestions are appreciated.

if you want a piranha, then that's what you have to get used to.

they're not cichlids.

they're shy and very skittish (in general).

and you can get some silver dollars, but eventually they'll be food.

a pacu will be eatin. just get cheap fast fish. its your only bet. i have a shoal of 5 bala shark. they work out nicely.
