would it be cool to have a single RBP in a 40g tank by itself?or is it boring to do so?

If i was a betting man i'd put my money on "boring to do so". Sure you could get lucky and happen to find an active one but from hanging out in this forum and talking to P keepers, they're few and far between when talking about RBP

a friend of mine keeps a solo caribe in 50g breeder and it's very active. down the line it really is up to the fish, you may find active rbp or a boring rbp.
probably better off to go with a sanchezi or mac

yeah i would go with boring because when i had just one he seemed to be scard of life and hide all the time but you are the owner so you will see them being active. that at least what i have notices anyways

well the only piranha species available in my is RBP
I used to have a school of them in a 100 g tank previously,
Now my 100 g tank is full with bichirs, but I still have an empty 50 g at home which I thought I could used it for a solo fish. I saw a 9" RBP being sold in my lfs and I was thinking of having it in my tank.It seems that the bigger they are the less skitties they'd become. But I dunno about this, and its still within my plan.

I have noticed from my experience that the bigger they are the less skittish they are, however if it must be kept alone I would go with some type of serra. Depending on how much they want for the red you could pobally get a much cooler p for about the same price online.
