tips? my friend just recently acquired 5 rbps which he put in a 120 g tank. he has the tank pretty bare just gravel and the filters. what kind of habitat does he need to create in there? i noticed the fish were acting strange as if looking for somewhere to hide because they always huddled up in a corner. i suggested that he put the fake weeds in which he put floating on the top in that paticular corner the fish always hid in and they seemed less stressed. what else should he add so that the fish appear to be more comfortable? the fish are about 3-4" he feeds them tilipia and rosies. hes gonna add shrimp and kent zoe to their diets as well after i suggested that he read the nutrition guide on here. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, a bunch of fake plants and some driftwood would make them feel more comfortable. RBPs are a skittish fish, and they would definitely appreciate places to hide.

Driftwood! I also would create a little current for them since they seem to like that.

DRIFTWOOD AND VALLISNERIA

Not all rbp are skittish. Rbp tank can be as bare or full as he wants it. Create hiding spots & that's what they'll do, hide n be skittish. My tanks are bare n my fish are anything but skittish. My rbp see me n they come front n center.
