RBPs vs. GULPERS HELP

hi this is my frist post on MFK so ill start by introducing myself well my name is Sapir and i am 16 years old living in Las Vegas.
currently i have 9 4-5in rbps living in an 80 gallon, i like them but theyre really shy and i would like a more outgoing interactive type of fish like the gulper. ive never even seen a gulper besides in pictures and i would like to know from you guys who have kept both rbps and gulpers which one you prefer and why. im thinking about selling my Ps and getting 3 or 4 gulpers.
what do you guys think all opinions and advice are welcome.

thanks for the reply, and ive been checking craigslist everyday for a 200+ gallon tank but im just at the point where i dont know if i want to keep my Ps any longer, do you think they larger they get the less shy they will be?
 
To be honest man I wold stick with the Rbs. You just need to give them a little more time. They are very skittish when young. Spend more time around the tank. Make sure they have enough hiding spots and make sure the lighting is not overwhelming. They do not like bright light. They are very cool fish and you will see how social they can be amongst each other. This is all my opinion of course. I have never kept gulpers. You could probably get away with 5 Rbs for awhile. Anything more is kind of pushing it. GL and let us know what you choose.
 
yeah man i hear ya, im trying to do the best i can until i upgrdae the tank. i have a piece of driftwood and some fake plant they can hide behind i also dimmed the lights. any one have any big tanks for sale for a reasonable price? please not too far away for vegas an hour drive is okay

Have you checked Craigslist for a bigger tank?
 
yea i check almost everday but i rarely see big tanks for sale so im just gonna keep checking hopefully one will come up soon.
i still like the gulpers tho im confused on what to do but if i find a bigger tank then ill just keep my 80gal, how many gulpers do you think would live comofortably in a 80gal for life?
