RD and Butti??

do you think that a butti would be able to hold its own in a tank with a RD, oscar, salvini and jag???

the RD is a tank he will kill anything that stands up to him.

couple notes i missed, RD is a male about 12" butti is a female about 9"
 
my uncle used to keep an rd with a butti but the rd eventually killed it
 
I don't think there is a chance, I had a male red devil that could have no tank mates. If it were butti jag oscar and salvini now they would prob get along. Throw a RD in there and its going to be the last one standing.
 
assuming they get along for a while, wont the butti eventually outgrow the devil and murder the RD and any other tankmates?
 
You forgot the most crucial factor: What size is the tank?
 
150g tank, the RD is already in the tank its the butti that he would be adding.

how big do female butti grow to?? if she doesnt stand up to him im sure she would be fine, saying that the oscar isnt dead and he stands up to him a little bit sometimes.
 
Buttis are aggro as well. I think that it can stand up to the rd and jag possibly depending on her personality. I've seen many buttis that were psychopaths and would glass bang. I haven't seen a wussy butti in my life. It will bully the oscar and salvini in my opinion. Female buttis get up to a foot or possibly more.
 
Most likely it won't work. But you'll never know, it might just tolerate the Butti just because she looks so different from him.




Even if both fishes were close to same sizes and added at same time, even than you'll never know which one will end up killing the other.
