RD + Blood Parrot --- Are they a pair ?

Yesterday I was walking toward my aquarium, when I saw my RD and my BP biting their mouths.When they saw me, they stopped.
I wonder if they are a pair

Although it is possible for them to breed together, Cichlids can do this as test of stength. My texas does it with the jd all the time. the tex always loses

Can be a fight or maybe courtship... Only time will tell. But I suggest you to keep an eye on your RD. They can destroy a BP very quickly.
