RD change color

Do Rds changes color in there growth time.
I brought this RD was having some pale orange marking over the dorsal area,
Now he is all white and sometimes a glimpse of orange.

Lolz is there any color which will remain on them for life .
Also how fast do they grow.

They grow pretty fast up to 10-12" in a year or so. No way to know which colors they will keep and which they will lose, just have to wait and see.
