Any fry will thrive on a correct sized live food (the correct size being one that will fit in their mouth!), and hatching your own baby brine shrimp is a great way to achieve this. For a start, you can start a culture any time you want, knowing that within 24 hrs you will have fresh bbs (and you can always freeze what you don't use in time). The other advantage is that hatching your own bbs from "dry" packets helps eliminate bacteria and other infectioin that can be introduced with harvested live food. Supplement the bbs with powdered flake food and watch 'em grow! Good luck.
