i want to know that for how many days can a Rd4"-5" go without food

reason:i want to make my RD eat Prawns to make him bring more good colour

I would say a week would cause no harm, and possibly longer if the fish is otherwise healthy and the tank is running well.

a good quality pellet with prawns as a treat would be a better move. pellets contain everything a fish needs with regards to vitamins and minerals and many have colour enhancing additives such as beta carotine (sp?).

i wouldnt go longer than a week.. what do you feed him now?

a week is a good period of time to starve a fish and make them accept diff. foods..
one time it only took me like 2 days to starve my RD to the point that it would accept a diff. variety of foods.

freeze dried shrimps and bloodworms

lol seriously.. Sure freeze dried shrimp and bloodworms are great for their diet but not alone! You need to get some pellets into that fish. You probably damaged his insides by feeding him nothing but meat.

yeah i agree with camphilophus and the others.. he NEEDS a good pellet as a daily staple in his diet.. good quality cichlid pellets will do..
