Can anyone inform me how fast these grow? and anyone have an before after pictures of their little guys growin up?

They grow fast! Buy a 2" pup in Jan and you could have a 9-10" rageing bull in Dec. with good food and clean water. I don't have any good pics on this computer to show you.
Bought mine at 2 inch, 5 months later he was 8 inch. Now, a year after I bought him, he is almost 11 inch. They hit 8-9 inch very fast, after that their grow rate slows down.
Ya seems typical response you get is gonna be inch a month or 10 inch first yr. I have only had one so I cant really give too much help, but I have found this to not be true for mine. Hes small, year old and only bout 6-7 tops, but a fatty. He gets 30%+ WC a week, good food, just for some reason sooooo slow. Doesnt make sense
I bought mine at just under 2" at the start on Jan. Now, he is 7" and expect about 9-10" by the end of the year. Not as fast as some suggest, but I also am in no rush for a giant and do not find myself power feeding him. Sorry no pics but do some searches and you will find something.
Yeah you will have a 9 to 10in beast within the year. After that they slow down in growth and start to put on bulk. RD/Midas are a robust cichlid. Just feed him well and keep up with your water changes. GL Try to post some growth progress pics if you can.
That all depends on genetics and environment several factors. As most are a mix it's a roll of the dice.
Mine were never really messy eaters and my one midas that I kept from PetSmart grew a nuchal hump so it's possible.
