There were comments made in another thread about the following fish.

He was bought as a midas, though I know that most (if not all) are of mixed heritage.

I have always thought he looked a bit different also. He has a reddish patch (hard to capture in a pic) under his gill covers.

Approx. 9.5" in total length.

He is very aggressive; nothing goes into his tank without a barrage of attacks. I wear Aquagloves to do tank maintenance.

What do you all think?

Few pics of the beast:

probably came from some type of flowerhorn breeding project. has a kamfa-ish (Rose Queen) shape to it and the red patch under the gill plate is a known characteristic of trimacs and most flowerhorns. :)

he looks like an offsprings of a midas and or red devil x kkp(parrot) breeding.. looks very nice:)

body and face is from the mother, its basically what they would call a Kamfa in a Fh world;)

If not for a lighter coloration, this fish looks identical to a purple rose queen. Its a viriety of a flowerhorn with lack of a pronounced hump and a very deep solid red color all over the body
