its a not a big deal but i got my rd/midas mix fish awhile ago and he had a noctal hump but its not got any bigger and ive seen they get way bigger? or do females get them a lil then stop? cause that means i got punked

I would help you angel but I don't know much about them. Maybe someone who does know can chime in and help you
you know if its a mix theres a good chance hes not gonna get a huge bump. remember midas are the ones that get the bump
everything can have an effect on nuchal humps foods,water changes,and most important genes if your fish doesnt have the genes they probably wont get it.... and females can have humps and long fins as well and another factor i have seen is if the devil is not dominant it wont be at its best
Some females do get the hump, and the size on both male and female vary from slight bump too a golf ball size. Its pretty much just a luck of the draw type of thing, I still keep hoping my Midevil will grow a hump but it has yet to happen. Can we see a Pic of your fishy?

Hello fellow Oregonian! It all comes down to genetics but there are few things you can do t help it. Being the only fish in the tank helps because it is the dominant fish. Also giving it an hour of mirror time will make it more aggressive and help bring it out better. Pretty much the same rules with flowerhorn kok's.
i dont like the idea of mirrors but hes the king of the tank being its divide and babies are on the other side his colors had shot up cause of the other fish in the thank tho
