I purchased this fish at almost full grown for $20 at a local fish store. I bought it as a Red devil just wondering if it was or if it was a Midas. ANd what is the sex M of F. These pics are like a year old but I cant find my charger to charge my camrea battery and get any better pics up.

it was almost full grown when I got it. It was at Pets plus. I think they only have like 3 locations in the philly area. I assumed it was a customer drop off since it was so cheap.

:grinno: Not even close to full grown. It could be male or female RD's are though...take a pic of the vent to get better guesses....
 
looks alot like a female RD. i had one that looked just like this one.

you should submit an updated photo. that might help alot since this photo is a year old.
 
Well in the pic it is about 8 inches I would call that close to full grown. Its about 10 inches now. I loss my charger so as soon as I can find it I will charge my camera and get a better pic.

then i'm pretty sure its a female. males will grow alot bigger than 10 inches in a year.

what size tank do you have it in?

ok I understand they get like 12"+ but your telling me mine isnt even close. I realize how big red devils get mine is at 8 in that picture and if you ask me thats pretty close and you said it wasnt even close. Maybe I misunderstood you but it made it seem like you are trying to make a joke out of me.
