my 2 RDs have been tail slapping and puffing their gills at each other
but I have a bigger RD from the same bunch. Is this a sign that they want to breed?

it sounds like cichlid behavior to me lol.
pretty much all CA and SA cichlids flare their gills at eachother.
and if it's red devils they'll do that constantly when ever they feel their territory is being violated.
it could possibly be a sign of that yeah but i'm sure they're just beefin!
