RD spawn

My RD pair spawned recently, the fry are now free swimming.

just thought i'd share a few pics

looks a bit dirty with the algae but for some reason the plec doesn't want to eat over that side of the tank

congradulations u got fry i can't belive the devils allow u to leave the magnet scrubber in there.My devils hate it and will attack it constantly it's the only thing they are really stupid crazy for the net they bite and the vac as well but when they see that scruber they snap into murder mode.Your male is way bigger than the lady are they the same age?

yea that male is at least 3 times bigger than the female!

no the magnet scrubber gets smashed but only if it moves from there.

he likes to keep things in certain places - like the plec the other side of the tank and his girl in the pot.

yeah the male is a lot older and bigger, he can be mean to her but they seem to get on better now they got fry, well as long as she stays in the pot with 'em!

will maybe grow out some depending on space, will give some away trade some at lfs (although i'm sure they're not pure ,RDxMidas prob).


others will be treats for the festae

the tank is only a 48"x15"x18" but has a few places where the female can loose the male, there's twisted root one side and the pot has 3 holes in she can swim straight through ,he can't. but probably been lucky.
