I've got 9 tanks running from 240g down to an 18g bio cube. My carbon bill is through the roof, I've saved up lots of old carbon and have been reactivating it with a map gas torch. This works but is extremely time consuming.my question is does anybody else re activate carbon and if so how do you go about doing it?

I use Purigen instead. Lots cheaper and can be recharged pretty much forever as long as you stay away from amine based water conditioners.

Interesting though...

I use it to help out with my cichlid tanks mainly, bit it's in all my tanks filters to keep my water crystal clear. You can see a difference the next day after putting it in, the fish all look like they are floating in air my water is so clean lol.

I googled that and nothing comes up, could you be more specific. Thanks

I just googled macropore filtration media and found a bunch of links to Australian sites including Australian ebay. Im on my phone so ive not really investigated availability elsewhere. Looks cheaper than purigen at a glance.

More specific about what? Macropore is manufactured in the same Bolivian factory as purigen...just search for macropore on Google

More specific with the name I think is what was meant. When I googled just 'macropore' nothing came up. Took a few different combinations of different words till I found what you meant.
