I've decided to go blue gill because i caught them more often and because they have pretty good feeding responses. I was told sunfishes are alot nicer looking but i have yet to catch one. I'm using red wrigglers as bait. So far i've caughten 3 bluegill, so thye come up more often. Can i use the lake water instead of letting the water, cycle?

bluegill are very common, you are right, however i disagree about what you said about their appearance. bluegill are quite dull in color until mating season, whereas bass, in my opinion, are pretty all the time
you could use lake water if you are impatient, but then im not sure how the fish will react to your tap water when it comes to water changing time

Le Partron, Bass look pretty all the time, especially when ur fishin for 2 hours and its your first fish of the day

You need to cycle your filters whether you use lakewater or not.

a feew years back there was a xanthic bluegill at a pond near my house, xanthic meaning he was an orangey-yellow color, a very good looking fish
