RE: firemouths breeding beheavier

well now my FMs are becomeing aggressive to me when im up to teh glass and they flare at me and is by the castle but the other FM isnt with the FM hats gaurding the castle. so should i expect to see eggs??? and im moving tommorrow ( and able to get a 55 YAY but not tell next month check comes in ) how should i stock the 55 with since i have all female cichlids besides teh breeding pair of FM ( theyl be in the 29 tho ) i have 1 female pink con 2 female JDs, so can i substitute the 2 JDs in for a texas or a oscar ( my pink con stays ) or can i just divide teh 29 and one side be the FM and teh other be the pink con?? so then i can just stock teh 55 with a few more FMs some groumies some livebearers and something else?

what would u do with the 55 if u had only one occupent, the pink con female. so what would u stock the 55 with???

OOOOOOOOH what about 2 salvinis 2 red jewls 2 female convicts ( my pink and one black ) one female jack dempsey??? or a tank full of livebearers? or africans? u guys decide

it would be better if you decided we can help you chose but it wouldn't be very helpful to pic fish that you end up not likeing so that being said

the salvinis could work don't get a pair they are VERY aggressive when breeding and really at all times there a pretty tuff fish leave the jewels out they are african and can be little snots (as can salvinis i suppose but they like the same water at least ) an oscar would work but would out grow a 55 eventually or at least take up the hole tanks bio load

if the tank is for life you could try
1jack dempsey
1 or 3 cons don't get a pair or you'll be up to your neck in fry
1 salvini ( try to get a female smaller and more colorful)
few other fish

OR
1 oscar and one con and remove most decor if not all once the oscar gets big they like alot of swimming room

there many combos i would post a combo you like and we can tell you how to improve it or tell you to go buy the fish

get a pair of salvinis and a JD, and 3 silver dollars.

u wont be able to get an O unless its by itself in the 55g or if u decide to put a O with other fish in their their will be many consequences...stick to the smaller fish e.g cons,gt,FMs and stuff like that and you will have some happy fish
