I am going to order some H.Armatus from infinite and have them shipped to Canada. How many should a guy order to beat the odds and have at least one in the end that grows to a big size. What size tank has everyone been putting these little monsters into? Would 3 or 4 work in a 90 gallon for now so they can catch the guppys or would that be to small for them and they would start killing each other. I was going to put them in a 180 gallon but some say that's to big right now for how small they are.

I'd say 90 will be fine till they hit 8in or so....

Beat what odds? They really aren't that hard to care for IF you are an experienced keeper and have DONE YOUR RESEARCH on them and thier requirements food and housing wise.

If you order them, get them, then attempt to catch up with the research chances are you'll be too late.

Keep the tank dim till they are comfy and whatever you do, DON'T run out of food when they are small......

If you want a shoal I'd say 4 is minimum. 3 and the odd man out gets punked. If there's 4 and one gets picked on he probobly deserved it....LOL

a 90 gal. id say 5 footer tank? just curious.. i also want to know, can they catch guppies in this size of a tank? if so, then a 3" should be able to catch
the guppies in a 60 gal right?

Catching guppies should not be a problem for them in any size tank. As long as the guppy population is high enough.

If it was a 5' tank and 2 guppies and alot of plants then they might have trouble but it would happen. But if it was 50 guppies then no problem.

so 1 3" armatus in a 60 gal with about 30-50 small guppies will be fine.
thanks!
