I just purchased a silver aro about a week ago..and i can't get it to eat nothyng but crikets and rosy reds....That gets to be headache on a regular basis....I was to told a local pet store to try krill and dosen't even touch it....Can someone please help me suggestions on wat to feed and about how many times a day....

bloodworms are good whats his size , thankfully mine are not very picky worms fruit a little nit of everything

when i first got mine the guy at the LFS said to turn the light off for about 24-48hours and not feed them. after that they'll be hungry and obedient to what you feed them.

my aro is about 6 inches...still trying to figure these thyngs out

at that size I would stick with crickets :) as they are still a little delicate.. But the starve tactic works well with Silvers they are relatively easy to train..

But you need to acquire some patience as you purchased a fish that requires it :) Deserves more respect than you know so far :) A week is hardly enough time to get sick of feeding crickets

But starve and feed in a few days with pellets. And then if it doesn't take do it again.. He'll get the hint :)

just tried those fish sticks by hikari...and is eating those thyng like a champ....Im still going to try different thyngs to get him on diet on a variety of stuff

Good job on getting him on the Hikari sticks but they get really expensive after awhile...Now my damn aro's won't eat any other sticks besides thoses...LOL...

pellets and blood worms let him eat the worms right out of my hand ooooo frozen blood worms that is

Try Feeding it mealworms and Market prawns, mines eat those like there is no tommorrow!!:D

crickets, bloodworms, krill, superworms, nightcrawlers. stay away from feeders.i feed mine convict cichlid that i breed. i know there heathy that way.
