so we have this 7ft tank in the wall ( i think its like a 120 or 150) and my dad told me to do a setup for him thatll look nice for when my aunt visits from vietnam, he wanted one big centerpeice fish but we couldnt find one at any of the local shops, so i sugguested fancy goldfish, so this is what i came up with... 15 goldfish arouns 3 inches (Orandas, Ryukins, Panda telescopes)

next you're gonna want to stock a 240g with parrots :screwy:

well, it does look nice...but goldfish?

the decision was either 1 big centerpeice fish like an arowana, or a group of medium sized colorful fish, so i ruled out discus because my dad doesnt have time to take care of them to the extent they require (water quality is so vital to thier survival and food costs more), so then i wanted a group of geophagus (red head tapajos or altifrons) but i couldnt find any, so the only other choice of medium sized fish with color that was available to us in the time span i needed were fancy goldfish, and i like them alot, with a tank this size it will be no time until they get some nice size on them and then i think the tank will be wonderful

Geos are what I thought would be great when I saw the tank. Don't mind what any of us say. If you think the tank will be wonderful, then that is all that matters.

An arowana wouldnt fit anyway. Why didnt you just throw a bunch of large gourami's in with colourful tetras and clown loaches along with some other misc items? More pleasing and colourful then a bunch of expensive feeders.

Well it does look nice....... Nostalgia from my Dad's first aquarium! I just recently saw a 240g. planted tank similar to yours with about 200 fancy guppies...... it actually looked incredible!

well i can see how most people on this site don't think much of a goldfish. but to me and another group of people, they aren't just feeders. i consider them another group of fish that deserve respect , and its just another branch of fishkeeping i decided to try
