First of all I would like to say hello to all, I have been reading all your post for years just never became a member.

I jusr bought a 225 glass aquarium. It is the largest that I have had yet. I water tested it and it leaked out the bottom seam. I removed all the silicone and reappliead GE Silicone II. Waited 24 hours water tested and it started to leak in the same spot as before after 5 days. I drained it stripped all the silicone again, and used GE Silicone I this time after investigating the differences between the I and II, I felt that could of been my problem. I let the tank sit for 48 hours this time,(patience is not my strong suit) Water tested and it started to leak within 10 hours in the same spot!!!! It is not a slow leak either. There are no cracks or chips, the tank looks like brand new. I have sealed many tanks upto a 135 gallons and never had an issue. Is there a stronger silicone that I should use, or do I need to seprate the glass and rebuild.

If I have posted this in the wrong area I apologize.

One thought I had if I was to put a thin layer of silicone in first and push it into the seam. Then immediatley put a second good size bead over it any thoughts?????

I will post some shortly. I need to set up my 125 back up I was tryning to have the new one up and running before the superbowl party lol....

When I moved the tank I could hear some movement on the bottom, like glass rubbing. My thought is that I need to remove the bottom and reattach it. Any thoughts????

Here it is al together. I threw a picture of the stand in cause I dont like how it does not have a flat area to sit the tank on. My personel thought is that could be the cause of the problem.
