Re-sealing a glass tank

My roomate just bought an old glass tank that has a couple of leaks. Any suggestions for re-sealing it?

strip out all silocone. use some alchol or soemthing simaler to remove all residue from the old silocone. Wipe clean and cry. reaply silocone to the intire tank. new and old silocone dont work so you have to remove ALL of the old

Go to your local fish store and they should have some silicone. Just locate the leaks, remove the old silicone with a razor in that area and put new silicone. Wait about 48 hours and its ready to go.
