how do i re-seal do i just go over the existing seals??
thanks :D

strip it all off, clean it very well (make sure all of the old silicone is gone...wet silicone wont stick to dry silicone), mask it off, put a bead along all of the edges, smooth it out with your finger, pull the tape off, let sit for a couple days, and test it outside.

ok thanks rallysman, will do, and i will post pics of it when it is set up.

To add to Rallysman advise...

Make sure the new bead of silicone is much wider than the original bead.

As Mr. Rally stated, silicone does not stick to itself. Even after scraping off the old silicone, there will still be residual left on the glass. If you make the new bead of silicone wider, it will be sticking to "clean" glass and yeild a better bond than it will to the area where the original silicone was.

Also clean the glass real well prior to applying the new silicone. I have found that some glass cleaners leave a residile film on the glass that impears adhesion of the silicone. I use plain old white distilled vinegar to clean the surfaces I'm siliconing together. It works very well.

make sure you test it out side for 3 days...

isoprophal alcohol does a very good job of removing caulking residue, and it evaps any moisture.
