I had my tank set up, again recently.

I have a 125 gallon tank, 72x18x 24.

(3) Eheim 2017 canisters
(2) inline heaters, Jagr i beleive
(2) 2K ice Cap Gyres

Stock:

12 Cynotilapia Jalo “yellow tops
12 Rusties
12 white tail acei
15 Yelow labs
(3) yoyo loaches one was a resident of the previous tank

Sorry for not describing in the right terms on fish names.

Water parameters:

ph 7.3
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 40-60

I was thinking of adding another filter , but there’s no room in the stand.
Any thoughts?

Pictures suck though

Did you mean Eheim 2217? I would swap out 2 of those for something with more GPH to give you between 8X and 10X GPH. And cut back on the fish...I like 25 max in a 125G for mixed gender mbuna.

Hi DJ,

Thank you for your response.

Yes , 2017’s.

I will look for another canister filter that meets your suggestion on GPH.

Maybe I’ll look at Fluvals, Ive only had these Eheims for about 10 years, and they have been great, but I’m willing to change. I’ll go to maintenance section for that data.

Yes, the stocking is too high. I will take it down when I see what I want to keep from this group.

Thank you again for your input . Appreciated as I always manage to screw this up😁
