Haven't been in the hobby for about 6 months maybe more. Besides having only two tanks up for my parachromis collection i had to sell everything else as the upper level of my house burned. Luckly my tanks where saved as they all reside downstairs, but construction had to take place over a 4+ month time period i had to get rid of some beloved fish and keep what i could fit in two other tanks at my temporary/relative home.

Well i'm back and my 150 is back up running and need ideas for stock. Any opinions would be great.

Thinking
a Dovii male or a Haitiensis
or a geophagus tank
Possibly a Festae pair or just single male with mates.

This is the tank but will add more DW and Live Plants

Glad to see you're back in the hobby full force Cross! Sorry to hear about your home. Anyways, I think all your ideas are great. I personally have always wanted a Geo tank and will definitely have one in the future. Also, you can never go wrong w/ a festae pair or haitiensis pair. The setup is looking great so far and I'd try to see if you could put a black background to match the dark substrate...just my 2cents :)

Oh yes black background is a definite( already have thin black styroboard). Mind you i just set it back up today and kinda just through things together, like filters running, putting the sand back in, etc...

Plus a great thing is the tank is already pre-cycled from other used filter media. It may throw a mini cycle though because the sand doesn't hold any colonies yet but other than that it's ready for stock.

Sorry to hear bout Your house but glad your back.Festae pair sounds good to me but the male hait would be nice too.
