Hello,
I've been reading this forum for some time but never posted until today. I've got a tank that measures 121 x 41 x 55.5 cm and is currently a yellow lab set up with the exception of 3 synodontis.

What I was thinking of doing was to sell all the fish or trade them and get a single fish in there, or a pair if a single one is not advisable. I think I'm starting to dislike all that rock-work cluttering the tank.

I checked the internet a bit, read a couple of pages and different posts but still can't reach a conclusion as to what fish to go for. I was thinking of an Tilapia buttikoferi but it seems like they grow a bit too much and there's also a pH issue. My pH has always been 8 and gH around 13~14.

Is there any not so big fish that could be happily kept as a singleton in my tank with such water parameters?

Any help would be very appreciated
Cheers
